Project: Preventing Gender-based Violence In Vietnamese University Communities
“Preventing gender-based violence in Vietnamese university communities” is a project funded by the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) and implemented by the Center for Education Promotion and Empowerment of Women (CEPEW). We conduct four training workshops on gender equality, gender-based violence (GBV), and non-violent communication (NVC) for key university personnel and student leaders of Thai Nguyen University from October 2020 to January 2021 to enable participants to gain sound knowledge on substantive gender equality, gender-based violence (GBV) and skills to early identify, prevent and address on-campus GBV. These participants are expected to conduct the campaigns related to GBV with our small grants and become core advocates for the issue in the long run.
Besides, within the framework of the project, we support administrators of university complete policy of gender issues. We also organize an exhibition titled “RỐI” to improve public awareness about GBV through artworks. We welcome any support from the community for this project.
